The Little Tech Startup Behind the legal dispute
Walnut Creek CA: In 1996 I founded a small technology startup to capitalize on the "Dot Com Boom" that was truly a boom. My operations were known as Authentic Technologies once located at 1136 Saranap Ave Suite R, Walnut Creek CA where I started operations but due to a larger project commitment kept me busy into 1997 but ... finally we I got going. Servers and Equipment ready I purchased Microsoft's Universal Subscription as I'm a true believer in the Windows Platform.
With a full speed ahead my youth fading and my expertise expanding I began expanding operations. Along the way I joined the Contra Costa Business Incubator which in the end was a waste of time plus where many paying members were snookered by management when we learned about 18 months or 20K into our deal that other members got the "free Ride" our fees paid the light bill while others got the best offices and never paid a nickel.
In 1998 we were growing with several contractors programming for us on separate projects. One project was handled by this Russian H1b visa worker who was talented but unknown to me then was his resume was a misrepresentation but worse is we lost the lost the client over the mistakes. The complete story is part of the failure rate in IT but this project didn't have to fail but it did. It was one of those I wish I did it myself projects. His code was good but he simply didn't get the "business process" which the client ran out of patience.
The firm we used was this US/Russian firm called Red-Stars where I took up the issues with. For months nothing happened but in 2001 I was sued on Walnut Creek Superior court for $7,500 by this slimy outfit called Charter Collections. By then Red Stars was imploding but one of the partners sold the paper to Charter and the partner I was dealing with was in the dark. So much for partnerships and if you ever want to understand what precognitive visions really feel like just spend a few weeks in Family Law where the clerks will lose your paperwork.
